Sport

We have a range of sporting opportunities for tamariki to get involved in throughout the year. We enter school teams in the following competitions

Term 1: Futsal, Year 5- 8
Term 2: and 3: Netball, Year 5-8
Term 3: Basketball, Year 5-8
Term 4: Touch Rugby, Year 5-8
Term 4: Badminton, Year 7-8

We also take part in a number of interschool tournaments organised by PSW including Ki O Rahi, Futsal and Handball.

Mt Cook School sends athletes to the Central Zone Athletics and Cross Country competitions where they can qualify for further competition.

In Term 4, our whole school takes part in a Run, Jump, Throw event at Newtown Park.
